Courtney Love pleads guilty to New York disorderly conduct charge

Courtney Love has negotiated another stop on her docket of court cases, pleading guilty to a disorderly conduct charge Wednesday (10/20) in New York.

The charge stemmed from a March incident in which Love hit a Kentucky man with a microphone stand as her band played a concert.

In return for Love's plea, a Manhattan Criminal Court Judge granted her a conditional discharge. Under the agreement, her case will be sealed after a year, provided she enters a drug-treatment program, pays the victim more than $2,200 to cover medical bills and doesn't get into further trouble with the law.

Love is due in a California courtroom on Oct. 27 to answer to a felony assault charge. She allegedly attacked a woman with a liquor bottle in April.

In July, Love was sentenced to a rehab program after pleading guilty to being under the influence of a controlled substance. That charge stemmed from an incident last year, when Love was arrested for allegedly trying to break into her former manager/boyfriend's home.

Love is scheduled to launch a brief California club tour later this month.
