Jimmy Eat World pushes tour into December
Jimmy Eat World , which last month dropped a new album and launched a tour behind the set, has extended its itinerary into December.
The new stops fill many gaps in the band's remaining November headlining schedule, and feature a number of December appearances at cheekily named radio station holiday festivals. Details are shown below.
The roadwork supports the band's Oct. 19 release, "Futures," and represents the start of a touring cycle that is expected to last two-and-a-half years, according to a press release.
"Futures" is the follow-up to Jimmy Eat World's self-titled 2001 breakthrough album, and proved to be a time-consuming effort, according to frontman Jim Adkins.
"We've always felt you're putting your name on something, you have to make sure it's the absolute best work possible," Adkins said in a press release. "This time it took a while to achieve what we wanted. We had to get our heads into the zone where we were ready to kill ourselves to finish this. And did."
