Collective Soul launches new album with club outing
Collective Soul ushers in its first new album in four years with a run on the North American club circuit.
The group kicks off the tour on Wednesday (11/10), six days before the new set, titled "Youth," lands in stores--and dates are set through mid-December. The itinerary is shown below.
The outing will, in part, serve as a warm-up for a "massive U.S. tour" that is planned for next year, according to a press release.
"Youth," Collective Soul's sixth studio album, is the follow-up to 2000's "Blender." The group issued "Youth" on its own newly formed label, El Music Group.
The new album includes the cut "Counting the Days," which has been a Top 10 single at radio and is featured in nationally televised NASCAR and NFL events, according to the group's publicist.
Formed in 1994, Collective Soul's previous albums spawned the chart-topping hits "December," "Shine," "The World I Know," "Gel," "Blame" and "Precious Declaration."
