Hatebreed ends one year, starts another with headlining run
Hatebreed continues to back its latest album, "The Rise of Brutality," during a U.S. tour that extends into early 2005.
The group's latest round of dates kicks off in the Northeast later this month and spills into early July. Details are shown below.
Dubbed the Heavyweights of Hardcore Tour, the 2004 shows will feature support from Terror, Full Blown Chaos, No Warning and Sick of It All .
The 2005 run is tagged as the Heavyweights of Hardcore Tour 2, and will include Agnostic Front , Diecast , Love Is Red and The Autumn Offering.
Tickets for a number of shows are on sale now, and registered users of the band's website have a shot at tickets via online presales. More information is posted at the site.
Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta--who hosts MTV's "Headbanger's Ball" and also appears on the channel's new reality show "Battle for the Ozzfest"--said in a press release that the band's fans are as hardcore as its music.
"Kids come up to me at every show, all over the world--even in places where English isn't the first language," he said. "I had kids in Greece crying, holding my hand, saying, 'I feel like you're my brother.' Kids have our lyrics tattooed on their bodies all over the world."
Last week, Jasta performed with fellow metal outfit Agnostic Front during a taping of the Discovery Channel's "Monster Garage." The episode, which features Jasta and Agnostic Front performing the cut "Peace"--taken from Agnostic Front's forthcoming album, on which Jasta guests--is due to air on Feb. 14, according to Hatebreed's website.
