Britney Spears says she won't tour anytime soon

In an open letter to fans, Britney Spears said that she's enjoying her time away from the spotlight.

"I may be disappointing some fans out there, but I don't think I'll do another tour for a couple of years," said the letter, posted this week on Spears' website. "My priorities in life have changed. I am having fun again reading all the magazines that I enjoy (mainly because I am not on them). At this point and time, what I want is not my face on every cover, but someone else's instead."

Spears scrapped tour plans earlier this year, after injuring her knee while filming a video. Last month, she said she planned to "take some time off to enjoy life" with her new husband, dancer Kevin Federline.

"I really want to help other people achieve their dreams and possibly even develop new artists," her latest missive said. "Everything is in the very beginning stages and it feels great to just think about different opportunities that I am interested in pursuing."

Though she plans to keep a low profile, the new Spears best-of set "Greatest Hits: My Prerogative" hit stores this week. Besides her well-known tracks, the album includes a cover of Bobby Brown's "My Prerogative" (the album's first single) and two additional new songs.

The first pressing of the album includes a free bonus remix CD, which includes previously unreleased versions of "Toxic," "Everytime," "Breathe on Me" and "Outrageous."
