Cher plots more farewell dates as classic DVD surfaces

Cher continues to schedule more shows as she closes in on the end of her touring career, while a new holiday DVD looks back to her early years with late ex-husband Sonny Bono.
Cher's farewell tour--which started more than two years ago--now includes a new December stop at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut, as well as a number of new January and February dates.
Tickets for most shows are on sale now, with a handful of others due to hit the box office in the coming days. Details are shown in the itinerary below.
Following her early 2005 U.S. shows, Cher plans to end the tour with a series of international dates, concluding with a March 11 show in Brisbane, Australia.
"My Australian shows will be very emotional because that's where it will end," she said in a statement issued earlier this year. "I think the reason I've kept going, and agreed to more dates, is because it will be really sad to finally say goodbye."
In late October, a new DVD titled "Sonny & Cher - The Christmas Collection" arrived in stores. The disc features highlights from the couple's three Christmas variety shows, which originally aired in 1972, 1973 and 1976.
