First-season "American Idol" winner Kelly Clarkson is set to release her sophomore album on Nov. 30.
Titled "Breakaway," the set includes the cut "Since U Benn Gone," which was the most-added song at Mainstream Top 40 radio this week, according to RCA Records.
Country singer Tim McGraw 's Nov. 18 benefit concert at Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL, raised over $1 million for the college, according to a press release. The funds will go to the FSU Career Center building, which helps students entering the job market, and a newly formed scholarship in McGraw's father's name, former major-league baseball player Tug McGraw, who died in January of brain cancer.
Journey guitarist Neal Schon will release his sixth solo album, titled "i on U," on Feb. 22. The set, a collection of guitar instrumentals, will be issued on guitarist Steve Vai's Favored Nations record label.
Mercury Nashville artist Julie Roberts will ride atop the first float at this years Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The singer, who was a 2004 CMA Horizon Award nominee, will be performing material from her self-titled debut during the televised portion of the parade, which airs from 9 a.m. until noon in all time zones, according to a CMA announcement.
