Gregg Allman and Friends hit the road in early 2005
Rocker Gregg Allman has recruited a five-man backing band for a four-week tour of the East Coast and South, which kicks off early next year.
The outing gets underway on Jan. 21 in Pennsylvania, and so far Allman has penciled in a handful of dates in the Northeast, including a two-night stand at B.B. King's Blues Club in New York City. Details are shown below.
More dates will be announced soon, according to Allman's website.
Backing Allman on stage will be Floyd Miles (percussion), Neil Larson (keys), Robben Ford (guitar), Willie Weeks (bass) and Steve Potts (drums).
Allman spent much of 2004 on the road with The Allman Brothers Band, which celebrated its 35th anniversary this year. In October, the group mounted a co-headlining run with fellow Southern rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd.
