Gomez crosses the pond for 10 U.S. shows
British rock group Gomez has lined up a five-city, 10-date, January trek that touches down in California and Colorado.
The two-week tour includes a three-night stand in San Francisco, two shows each in West Hollywood, CA, the San Diego Area, and Boulder, CO, and a single show in Colorado Springs, CO. Details are in the itinerary below.
Gomez is supporting its fourth album, the Tchad Blake-produced "Split the Difference," which hit stores in May. The band and its label, Virgin Records, have since parted ways, according to Gomez's publicist.
"Split the Difference" was recorded in the warehouse district of the suburban English seaside town of Portslade.
"We've got table tennis in the studio, but that's about it for entertainment," vocalist/guitarist Ian Ball said in the band's record company biography. "Because there's nothing to do, it's made us quite ruthlessly professional."
The quintet's debut release, "Bring it On," picked up the U.K.'s Mercury Music Prize for Album of the Year in 1998.
