Rascal Flatts extend tour plans into 2005

Rascal Flatts ' ambitious 2004 headlining run will soon come to an end, but the group will waste no time before hitting the road again early next year.

Currently in the midst of a U.S. outing that wraps up on Dec. 11, the country trio plans to launch a new round of shows in January. So far, dates stretch into mid-February. Details are shown below.

Fellow country artists Chris Cagle and Julie Roberts are opening all of the remaining 2004 shows; an opening act for the 2005 outing hasn't been named.

The roadwork backs Rascal Flats' platinum-certified, late-September release, "Feels Like Today," which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 album chart. The set features the hit title track, as well as the group's latest single, "Bless the Broken Road," which the band is slated to perform on the Dec. 6 episode of the ABC-TV daytime talk show "The View."

"Feels Like Today" is Rascal Flatts' third album, and is the follow-up to 2002's "Melt," which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart.

In November, Rascal Flatts won its second consecutive CMA award for Vocal Group of the Year.
