Juanes heats up the U.S. during 2005 outing
Colombian singer-songwriter Juanes heads north early next year for a U.S. run behind his latest album, "Mi Sangre."
The trek gets underway in late February, and dates--which are booked into a mix of arenas and large theaters--stretch into early May. A second leg of shows is planned for next summer, and the tour is ultimately expected to hit more than 40 U.S. cities, according to Juanes' publicist.
Tickets for the first batch of confirmed dates are scheduled to hit the box office on Saturday (12/4)--with the exception of two California shows noted in the itinerary below--according to a press release.
The U.S. shows are part of a 200-plus-city world tour in support of "Mi Sangre," which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Latin Albums and Latin Pop Albums charts, and at No. 33 on The Billboard 200. The set features the single "Nada Valgo Sin Tu Amor," which recently notched its 11th week in the No. 1 slot on Billboard's Hot Latin Tracks chart.
"Mi Sangre" is the follow-up to 2002's "Un Dia Normal," which earned Juanes a Latin Grammy for Album of the Year. "Es Por Ti," a track from that album, garnered additional Latin Grammys for Song and Record of the Year.
