Back ailment sidelines Loretta Lynn for December

Country icon Loretta Lynn , who has battled health problems throughout the year, has rescheduled all of her planned December concerts due to back problems.

According to a statement posted on Lynn's website, her doctor recommended immediate treatment for a lower-back ailment following a recent check-up.

Most of Lynn's December shows have been rescheduled for March and April, but planned performances in Toledo, OH, and Kalamazoo, MI, have been canceled, according to the site.

The rescheduled dates are shown in the itinerary below.

Earlier this year, Lynn postponed her June performances due to a back ailment, and later called off some July performances after she was hospitalized for double pneumonia.

Lynn, 69, issued her latest album, the critically acclaimed "Van Lear Rose," in April. The set was produced by Jack White of The White Stripes .
