Jill Scott returns to the stage in 2005
R&B singer Jill Scott , who recently returned from a four-year recording hiatus to issue her sophomore album, is lining up tour plans for 2005.
Scott's itinerary currently includes February and March stops at theaters in a dozen U.S. cities.
"Beautifully Human: Works & Sounds Vol. 2"--the follow-up to Scott's Grammy-nominated 2000 debut, "Who is Jill Scott? Words & Sounds Vol. 1"--hit stores in late August, and debuted atop Billboard's Top R&B Albums chart. It entered The Billboard 200 album chart at No. 3 the same week.
Several producers had a hand in "Beautifully Human," including producers she had previously worked with--James Poyser, Andre Harris & Vidal Davis and Mama's Boys' Ivan & Carvin--and new collaborators Raphael Saadiq, P-nut, Pete Kuzma and Ant Bell.
Prior to the new album's release, Scott embarked on a summer mini-tour, where she performed to sold-out crowds in 15 markets, according to Hidden Beach Recordings.
