Eddie Money stays busy in 2005 with more touring
Classic-rocker Eddie Money 's New Year's resolutions include tackling a busy tour schedule that already stretches through the end of next summer.
Currently on a brief break after wrapping up a steady stream of shows this year, Money will return to the stage at the end of December for two shows, including a New Year's Eve performance in Tacoma, WA. He'll then spend one week aboard a music-themed ocean cruise, which will also feature fellow singer Michael McDonald, as well as a number of other musicians and comedians. Details are available at the cruise line's website.
After returning to dry land, Money takes on a loose-knit, 2005 touring itinerary that extends into mid-September. Details are shown below.
Best known for his string of '70s- and '80s-era hits--including "Two Tickets to Paradise," "Baby Hold On," "Shakin'" and "Take Me Home Tonight--Money hasn't released a new studio album since 1999's "Ready Eddie." Despite the lack of new material, the singer has maintained a steady regimen of touring.
"Touring and writing is my life, it's who I am and what I do, and I don't see it changing any time in the near future," Money said in a statement. "Hey, I get to get up every day and do what I love. Why change that?"
Money, who released his self-titled debut in 1977, has recorded 21 albums that have sold a combined total of more than 13 million copies, according to a press release.
