Tift Merritt mounts headlining tour early next year
Alt-country singer Tift Merritt will support her Grammy-nominated album "Tambourine" with a brief North American headlining jaunt this winter.
Merritt plans to launch the run in mid-January, and dates so far are set through mid-February. Included in the itinerary are two-night stands in Austin, TX; and Seattle. Details are shown below.
More shows will be announced, according to Lost Highway Records.
Released in late August, "Tambourine" recently picked up a Grammy nomination in the Best Country Album category. Winners will be named during the 47th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony, which takes place on Feb. 13.
"Tambourine" is the follow-up to Merritt's Lost Highway debut, 2002's "Bramble Rose." Streaming samples of all tracks from both albums are posted at Merritt's website.
