The presidential election is behind us, but that's not stopping costumed rockers GWAR [ tickets ] from adding another leg to their "Mock the Vote" tour.

The new round of shows kicks off at the end of January, and dates so far extend into late February; details are shown below. More shows are expected, according to GWAR's website.

The roadwork supports last October's "War Party," GWAR's first album of all-new material in more than three years.

The theatrical group, which marries music and cartoonish gore, is framing its push behind "War Party" as a mission to "align the Republicans, the Democrats, al-Qaeda, the K.K.K. and all other divisive factions into one great seething ball of hate, bent on its own destruction," according to a press release.

GWAR's website features a free download of the "War Party" title track, as well as streaming versions of that song and two others: "Krosstika" and "Decay of Grandeur."

Also posted at the site is information on a charity auction featuring a number of GWAR-related items. Half of the proceeds will benefit the "Dimebag" Darrell Memorial Fund--established in the name of the late Pantera/Damageplan guitarist Darrell Abbott, who was slain onstage in December--and the other half to the Red Cross International Relief Fund.
