Slipknot's 'Subliminal Verses Tour' continues to grow
Currently on tour in Canada, metalheads Slipknot have unveiled more shows for their late-winter/early spring tour of the U.S.
Dubbed the "Subliminal Verses Tour," the outing now includes a new batch of late-March and early April shows. Details are shown below.
Fellow rockers Lamb of God and Shadows Fall will appear on all dates, while additional openers Gizmachi will join the bill from March 3-11; Sworn Enemy from March 12-15; All That Remains from March 16-19; The Bled from March 20-26; Devil Driver from March 28-April 2; and Trivium from April 4-8.
More dates will be announced soon, and the final itinerary is expected to stretch until May 2, according to organizers.
On Sunday (1/16), Slipknot wraps up its Canadian outing, then spends late January and early February in New Zealand and Australia as part of the annual Big Day Out festival. More information is available at the band's website.
Slipknot is on the road behind its third album, last year's "Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses." After working with producer Ross Robinson on its previous two releases, the band teamed with Rick Rubin (Slayer, Red Hot Chili Peppers) this time around.
Massachusetts-based Shadows Fall is backing its latest set, "War Within," which surfaced in September. Virginia quintet Lamb of God is supporting its August release, "Ashes of the Wake."
