Man Falls To Death At KISS Concert In Oakland

In an incident that Oakland police have called an accident, a 36-year-old bioichemist at a KISS concert fell to his death from the upper tier of Oakland Arena.

On Thursday night (3/23), according to police, Shawn Stubblefield of Calistoga, Calif., climbed to the top of a 4- to 6-foot-high retaining wall atop the arena's third tier for a better view of the show. Around 10:45 p.m., Stubblefield fell about 90 feet from the wall to the arena's first level.

The band--and most of the audience--evidently didn't realize what happened, and the concert continued uninterrupted, police said.
