Marc Anthony Hospitalized After Reaction To Throat Medicine

Salsa star Marc Anthony had to cancel two weekend concerts after he had an adverse reaction on Saturday (3/18) to a throat medication. The concerts, scheduled for St. Louis on March 18 and Atlanta on March 19, are expected to be rescheduled, according to venues and promoters.

Anthony was hospitalized on Saturday night in St. Louis after taking his medication on an empty stomach. He had been taking the sore throat medicine for a few weeks, according to his publicist.

Promoters said ticketholders should hold on to their tickets, which will be honored at the rescheduled shows. Refunds are available.

Anthony will perform as scheduled on March 21 in Washington, D.C. and on March 23 in Detroit.
