Briefly: Usher, Cream, Tim McGraw, Nickelback
Usher 's March 5 concert in San Juan, Puerto Rico, will air live on Showtime during the cable-television channel's free-preview weekend, which runs March 4-7.
Sponsored by Showtime and Dr. Pepper, the broadcast "will be Usher's first and only full-length live show on TV in 2005," according to a press release.
Legendary rock trio Cream --drummer Ginger Baker, bassist Jack Bruce and guitarist Eric Clapton--will reunite for a four-night run at London's Royal Albert Hall on May 2, 3, 5 and 6. The venue is the site of the group's final performance in 1968, according to a band announcement.
"Friday Night Lights," a film in which multi-platinum country-singer Tim McGraw makes his big-screen debut, sold over 3 million copies during its first week in stores, and will top Billboard's DVD chart, according to McGraw's publicist.
Drummer Ryan "Nik" Vikedal has left Canadian rock group Nickelback , Billboard reports.
