Alanis Morissette, Black Eyed Peas and more to perform benefit concerts
Alanis Morissette , Kanye West , Kid Rock , Black Eyed Peas and John Legend have teamed up for a series of early February concerts that will benefit VH1's Save the Music Foundation.
The shows are set to take place at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, CA, with West scheduled for Feb. 9, Rock for Feb. 10, Morissette for Feb. 11, and Black Eyed Peas and John Legend for Feb. 12.
Additional "surprise guest artists" will be announced soon, according to a press release.
The event is sponsored by American Express, and tickets will be available exclusively to American Express cardholders, according to the company. Tickets go on sale via Ticketmaster--as well as at the West Hollywood House of Blues' box office--beginning on Sunday (1/30), and are priced at $75 plus any applicable service charges. (Ticketmaster is liveDaily's parent company)
Net proceeds from the events will be donated to Save the Music Foundation, according to organizers.
VH1's Save the Music Foundation was created in 1997, and has since donated more than $25 million worth of new musical instruments to 1,000 public schools in 80 cities, according to the organizations website.
