The String Cheese Incident [ tickets ] has unveiled plans to tour Western ski towns in March and April, dubbing the outing "Spring Ski Incidents."

The jam band opens with three nights at Denver's Fillmore Auditorium, and a different special guest and after-parties are planned each night. Dr. John joins the group on Mar. 24, DJ Peretz (Perry Farrell) performs Mar. 25, and Rob and Ronnie McCoury and Jason Carter appear Mar. 26.

From there, the group travels to skiing Meccas including Lake Tahoe, NV; Park City, UT; and Whistler, British Columbia, The full itinerary is below.

In Park City, SCI will play a free outdoor set each afternoon at The Canyons resort.. In Whistler, another free gig is planned to kick of the 10th anniversary of the TELUS World Ski & Snowboarding Festival. More information is posted at the band's website.

According to a recent press release, SCI is currently wrapping up work on a new album with producer Malcom Burn (Bob Dylan, Emmylou Harris) at a private Boulder, CO, studio. The group plans to issue its as-yet-untitled fifth album on its SCI Fidelity label in June.
