Master P Gives Professional Basketball Another Go

Rapper and entertainment mogul Master P , who failed to crack the roster NBA's Toronto Raptors' prior to this season, has signed a contract to play for the Atlantic City Seagulls of the United States Basketball League. The team opens its season on Saturday (4/22).

Master P, whose real name is Percy Miller, was also cut from the Charlotte Hornets' training camp in 1998, and later played in the Continental Basketball Association.

In six games for the Raptors prior to this season, Miller averaged 2.2 points and four minutes played. Analysts said he appeared overmatched at times on the court, but was a fan-favorite.
