AC/DC turns on the juice for new DVD anthology
Veteran Aussie rockers AC/DC offer up their "Family Jewels" on March 29, a two-DVD set comprising footage culled from throughout the group's career.
Disc one focuses on the band's 1975-1980 era with original frontman Bon Scott, who died in 1980 from excessive alcohol consumption. Among the clips on the disc are the music videos for "High Voltage," "It's a Long Way to the Top" and "Jailbreak," and live renditions of "T.N.T.," "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" and "Highway to Hell."
Disc two features material from AC/DC's run with Scott's replacement, current singer Brian Johnson, with whom the group recorded its most successful album, 1980's "Back in Black." The DVD houses videos for tracks from that album such as "Hells Bells," "What Do You Do for Money Honey" and "Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution."
Other music videos include "Who Made Who," "Sink the Pink" and "Thunderstruck," as well as live versions of "For Those About to Rock" and "Let's Get It Up."
The set will also include special liner notes written by rock journalist David Fricke.
