Briefly: Lisa Marie Presley, Daft Punk, Rodney Crowell, Whitney Houston

Lisa Marie Presley has set an April 5 release date for the follow-up to her gold-certified 2003 debut album, "To Whom it May Concern."

The new set, dubbed "Dirty Laundry," features 10 original songs, plus the title track, which is a cover of a Don Henley hit.

Presley--whose version of "Dirty Laundry" is currently being used in promos for the ABC drama "Desperate Housewives"--will further hype the release with appearances on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" (March 28), "Good Morning America" (March 29), "The Late Show with David Letterman" (April 1) and "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" (April 5).

According to a press release, the set features guest vocalists Emmylou Harris, John Prine, Beth Nielsen Chapman, Buddy & Julie Miller and J.D. Souther.

Whitney Houston was taken to a French hospital for apparent food poisoning after she became ill Thursday (2/24) during a flight to Paris.

Her publicist, in a statement to Associated Press, said Houston was recovering well, and that she probably would not have to be admitted to the hospital.
