Megadeth Tours North America In Support of "Risk"

Megadeth 's North American tour, which opened in early October, will continue its frantic pace through January at least, according to a newly released itinerary. Several small markets, including Billings, Mont. and Idaho Falls, Idaho, will be among the tour's stops in early 2000.

The band is touring in support of its ninth studio album, "Risk." In connection with the tour, Megadeth continues to auction tickets with backstage passes to benefit Boys and Girls Club of America. The bidding is underway at the Yahoo auction website.

Megadeth's touring year began with a September stint supporting Iron Maiden in Europe. In addition, the band has made several special appearances this year, including the closing slot at Woodstock '99.

For New Year's Eve, the Phoenix-based rockers have lined up a concert performance in their hometown.

Megadeth topped rock radio charts earlier this year with the single ''Crush 'Em.''
