A CD and DVD recorded during Willie Nelson 's Jan. 8 tsunami relief concert are being prepared to raise additional funds for victims of the disaster.
No release date has been announced for "Willie Nelson--Songs for Tsunami Relief." The Austin, TX, concert featured performances by Nelson, Natalie Maines (Dixie Chicks), Spoon, Alejandro Escovedo, the Joe Ely Band and others. More details are available at Nelson's e-commerce website.
The child-molestation case against Michael Jackson got underway Monday (2/28) in Santa Maria, CA, with District Attorney Thomas Sneddon delivering the opening statement for the prosecution. Sneddon laid out a previously undisclosed portion of a related conspiracy indictment against Jackson, claiming that Jackson's staff was instructed in February 2003 not to allow the alleged victim to leave Neverland Ranch.
Static-X guitarist Tripp Eisen reportedly is being held in a Southern California jail after being charged with sexually assaulting two underage girls.
According to published reports, he was arrested on Feb. 10 and charged with committing a lewd act on a child after he was found sleeping in a parked car with a teenage girl. He also faces several charges in connection with an alleged January sexual encounter with a 14-year-old girl in Old Bridge, NJ.
R&B singer Gerald Levert reportedly was arrested Friday (2/18) in Cleveland on charges of driving under the influence, impeding the flow of traffic, obstructing official business, resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer.
Levert reportedly became angry and pushed a police officer who refused to explain why another motorist had been pulled over.
