Briefly: System of a Down, CBGB, Jamiroquai, Louis XIV
System of a Down will headline "Souls, 2005," a concert presented by Los Angeles-area radio station KROQ that will benefit organizations that work to eradicate genocides around the world.
The show is set for April 24 at Universal Amphitheatre in Universal City, CA. Tickets hit the market on Saturday (3/12).
System of a Down has organized and headlined two previous "Souls" benefit concerts.
Legendary New York City rock club CBGB--which became famous in the '70s when it helped to launch the career of The Ramones and many others--reportedly could be closed if a dispute over allegedly unpaid rent isn't resolved.
The homeless charity that owns the building that houses CBGB reportedly claims it is owed $76,000. CBGB's current lease is up in August.
The sixth studio album from Jamiroquai , titled "Dynamite," is scheduled to hit stores on May 24, according to Epic Records.
Louis XIV , which released the EP "Illegal Tender" on Jan. 25, will release its full-length debut, "The Best Little Secrets are Kept," on March 22. Both the EP and the album feature the single "Finding Out True Love Is Blind."
