The author of three books of poetry, Saul Williams [ tickets ] is the proverbial career artist. Besides his literary projects, Williams has starred in the UPN sitcom "Girlfriends" and the Kevin Spacey picture "K-Pax." He now is hoping to collect more fans while pushing his self-titled album at SXSW. "Saul Williams," which features guest appearances by System of a Down's Serj Tankian and ex-Rage Against the Machine vocalist Zack de la Rocha, runs the gamut of beat poetry, alternative rock, and straight ahead hip-hop. "I find that, musically, I'm all over the place," Williams said. "It's completely a reflection of the stuff I'm listening to: the Kinks, Lee Stratch Perry, The Game, Cam'ron, Jadakiss.
