The Raveonettes (Copenhagen, Denmark)

The Raveonettes are a virtual melting pot of influences, drawing from the wispy sounds of The Beach Boys, Motown girl groups and modern rock. The Danish duo--guitarist/vocalist Sune Rose Wagner and bassist/vocalist Sharin Foo--found critical success with its major-label debut, "Chain Gang of Love," and it is prepared to launch its 11-song album "Pretty in Black" in April. Recently, The Raveonettes added new member Anders Christensen. --Christina Fuoco

Performing Friday, March 18 at 11 p.m. at Emo's Main Room (603 Red River St.).
