Bright Eyes take to the road with The Faint
Bright Eyes are set to embark on a 20-plus city North American tour with Saddle Creek Records labelmates The Faint .
Besides serving as opening act, three members of The Faint will back Bright Eyes principal Conor Oberst on stage. Rounding out Oberst's group will be producer Mike Mogis, guitarist Nick Zinner (Yeah Yeah Yeahs), cellist Gretta Cohn (Cursive), violinist Anton Patnzer and drummer Shan Aspegren.
Bright Eyes' set lists on the upcoming dates will focus on material from "Digital Ash in a Digital Urn," one of two albums the group released simultaneously in January. "Digital Ash" is an electronic-leaning set, while "I'm Wide Awake" is an acoustic-leaning folk-rock set.
The Faint, which is backing 2004's "Wet From Birth," will open all dates, and additional acts will be on the bill in some markets. More information is available at Saddle Creek's website.
