Doves to mount spring headlining tour
Following their April 30 performance at this year's annual Coachella Festival, U.K. sensations Doves will launch a run on the North American club and theater circuit with show-openers Mercury Rev in tow.
The run kicks off in San Francisco on May 1, and works its way east before wrapping up May 23 in Washington, DC. Plans include a two-night stand in New York City. Details are shown below.
Doves--who plan to take a second swing through the U.S. later this year--are working the road behind their third album, "Some Cities," which debuted at No. 1 on the British album charts and is currently No. 1 at U.S. college-radio stations, according to a press release.
Streaming samples of all of the "Some Cities" cuts--including the single "Black and White Town"--are available via the band's website.
Mercury Rev is backing its latest set, "The Secret Migration," which hit U.S. shelves in early March.
