Ryan Adams hits the road behind first of three new albums
Singer/songwriter Ryan Adams stays plenty busy this year with the release of three new albums and a battery of roadwork to support the sets.
Adams is gearing up for a tour behind the first of the three albums, an 18-track, two-disc collection titled "Cold Roses" that hits stores May 3. The set surfaces a few days after kick-off of a North American tour that so far stretches into late May. Details are shown below.
Backing Adams on the album are guitarists J.P. Bowersock and Cindy Cashdollar, drummer Brad Pemberton and bassist Catherine Popper, collectively billed as The Cardinals. Also making an appearance on two tracks is singer/songwriter Rachael Yamagata, who holds down the opening slot on the upcoming tour.
A follow-up album titled "September" is due out this summer, and a third album--dubbed "29," and produced by longtime collaborator Ethan Johns--is expected in the fall.
A sample of music from "Cold Roses" is streaming at Adams' website.
