New Order to play select dates behind new album

Dance-rock trailblazers New Order return April 26 with a new album titled "Waiting for the Sirens' Call"--the group's first collection of new material in four years--and will back the set with a handful of U.S. dates.

The U.K. band, which has been together for 28 years, has clustered its U.S. jaunt around Southern California's May 1 Coachella festival. Other stops on the itinerary include Chicago, New York City and Oakland, CA.

"Sirens" marks New Order's first album of new material since 2001's "Get Ready," which was followed by the 2002 box set "Retro." Producers Stephen Street (Blur, The Smiths), John Leckie (Pink Floyd, Stone Roses) and Stuart Price (Madonna) had a hand in "Sirens."

Two remixes of the forthcoming set's debut single, "Krafty," currently are available at the iTunes Music Store, and a third will be available beginning April 26, according to a press release. After two weeks, the remixes will be available via other digital-music outlets.

New Order's 1983 breakthrough hit "Blue Monday" is the world's top-selling 12" single of all time, according to Warner Bros.
