After announcing earlier this month plans to tackle a series of acoustic shows in June, Jewel [ tickets ] has added more dates to the run.

The new batch of shows comprises late July stops in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. Tickets hit the box office Friday and Saturday (4/15-16). Details are shown below.

Before kicking off her tour, Jewel warms up with a May 3 performance in New York City at "The Event to Prevent." Sponsored by The Candie's Foundation, the concert--which will also feature Ashlee Simpson--aims to raise awareness about teen pregnancy.

Jewel's most recent album is 2003's "0304." She's currently in the studio working on a follow-up, which is slated for release in September, according to Atlantic Records.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Jewel's debut album, "Pieces of You."
