Illness delays Sarah McLachlan's tour launch

Canadian singer/songwriter Sarah McLachlan is suffering from laryngitis, forcing her to postpone her spring tour's first four dates, according to her management company.
The postponed shows were to take place this week in Victoria, Kamloops and Kelowna--all in McLachlan's home province of British Columbia. The two Victoria shows have been moved to June 7-8, the Kelowna appearance is now set for June 10, and the Kamloops show is now set for June 11. Those holding tickets for the postponed shows can use them on the rescheduled dates.
The tour is now expected to get underway Monday (4/18) in Spokane, WA, and will conclude with the rescheduled Kamloops show.
McLachlan's latest studio album is 2003's double-platinum "Afterglow," which she followed with last November's "Afterglow Live," a CD and companion DVD recorded during her 2004 summer tour.
The DVD features 23 tracks, as well as music videos for three "Afterglow" cuts, while the CD houses 15 live songs.
McLachlan's 2004 tour marked the end of a five-year touring hiatus. She kept a low profile for several years in the wake of her mother's death from cancer in 1997 and the birth of her daughter India five months later.
