Ryan Adams offers first of three new albums, books more shows
Ryan Adams , who this week delivered the first of three albums due out this year, has added a new string of shows to his in-progress tour.
The singer/songwriter's itinerary now stretches into mid-June, and includes stops throughout the eastern U.S., along with a trio of Texas shows. Details are included below.
On Tuesday (5/3), Adams released "Cold Roses." Backing him on the two-disc set are guitarists J.P. Bowersock and Cindy Cashdollar, drummer Brad Pemberton and bassist Catherine Popper, collectively billed as The Cardinals.
Also making an appearance on two tracks is singer/songwriter Rachael Yamagata, who holds down the opening slot on the upcoming tour.
Adams' website currently offers on-demand streaming of each of the album's 18 tracks.
A follow-up album titled "September" is due out this summer, and a third album--dubbed "29," and produced by longtime collaborator Ethan Johns--is expected in the fall.
