Steve Miller Band books first full tour since 2000

The Steve Miller Band hits the road this summer for its first extensive tour in five years.

The run launches at the end of May, and dates are scattered into late September. Details are shown below.

While on the road, Miller will be inducted into Hollywood's RockWalk. The public ceremony is scheduled to take place July 11 at noon, in front of the Hollywood Guitar Center on Sunset Boulevard.

The Steve Miller Band's most recent release is 2003's "Young Hearts--Complete Greatest Hits." The set, which traces the group's 35-year affiliation with Capitol Records, includes the No. 1 singles "The Joker," "Rockin' Me" and "Abracadabra," as well as hits such as "Take the Money and Run," "Space Cowboy," "Fly Like an Eagle," "Jungle Love," "Jet Airliner" and "Livin' in the USA."

After 84 weeks in stores, "Young Hearts" continues to sell an average of 5,000 copies per week and is nearing RIAA Gold certification, according to the group's publicist.

Details about the set--including the complete, 22-song tracklist--are posted at Miller's website.
