Briefly: Coldplay, Gov't Mule, Wyclef Jean, The Coral
Coldplay will play an extended set when they appear on NBC-TV's "Saturday Night Live" on May 21.
"SNL" musical guests typically play two songs, but Coldplay will play five selections from their upcoming album, "X&Y," due in stores June 7. Lindsay Lohan will host the show.
Gov't Mule is set to release a new EP titled "Mo' Voodoo," which features two new songs penned by frontman Warren Haynes and three additional tracks.
Beginning June 1, the EP will be bundled with the band's 2004 album "Deja Voodoo." Fans who have already purchased "Deja Voodoo" will be able to download the tracks for free online by inserting the CD and accessing a special website.
Wyclef Jean plans to play a free May 21 concert and lead a march to support unionization efforts at Connecticut's Yale New Haven Hospital.
British rockers The Coral will release their fourth album, "The Invisible Invasion," on Aug. 30 in North America, more than three months after it hits stores overseas.
