Briefly: Dave Matthews Band, R. Kelly, Incubus, Bane
Moving nearly 465,000 copies during its first week in stores, the Dave Matthews Band 's "Stand Up" debuts atop the U.S. album charts, marking the group's fourth consecutive No. 1 album.
Weezer 's "Make Believe enters The Billboard 200 album chart at No. 2, while Mariah Carey's "The Emancipation of Mimi" dips one slot to No. 3. 50 Cent's "The Massacre" holds steady at No. 4, according to Billboard.
Last week's No. 1 album, Nine Inch Nails' "With Teeth," tumbles to No. 5 during its second week in stores.
R. Kelly drops his 10th album, "TP.3 Reloaded," on July 5, according to Jive Records.
The set will be packaged with the bonus DVD "Trapped in the Closet," which is described in a press release as a "dramatic operetta"--based on the Kelly song "Trapped in the Closet (Chapters 1-5)"--that "is reminiscent of the serial movies of yesteryear full of suspense, mystery, drama and packed with unexpected twists and turns."
Three new Incubus songs will appear on the soundtrack to "Stealth," an action-thriller starring Jamie Foxx that's due out this summer.
The tracks include first single "Make a Move" and "Neither of Us Can See," a duet with Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders.
The soundtrack hits stores July 12.
Rockers Bane issued "The Note" this week, the band's first album in more than four years. Brian McTernan (Hot Water Music, Thrice) produced the set.
