Bassist Frankie Poullain has departed British rock band The Darkness , citing "musical differences." According to the band's website, a replacement will be named "in the coming months."

Australian pop star Kylie Minogue underwent successful breast cancer-related surgery Friday night (5/20), according to her official website. The specific procedure the singer underwent hasn't been revealed.

In a statement, Minogue's surgeon said she was confident that Minogue is on the road to a complete recovery.

Country group Rascal Flatts will perform during Wednesday's (5/25) "American Idol" season finale on Fox-TV. During the telecast, either Bo Bice or Carrie Underwood will be named the talent contest's winner.
