Cypress Hill Locks In "Smoke Out" Lineup

Red-eyed rappers Cypress Hill and the club/DJ magazine Industry Insider are planning a huge celebration of music and marijuana featuring KRS-One, the Deftones and De La Soul. The "Cypress Hill Smoke Out" is scheduled to take place at the National Orange Show Events Center in San Bernardino, Calif., on Oct. 2.

Other rock and rap acts that are set to play the festival -- which is expected to run from 11 a.m. to 4 a.m. -- include Gang Starr with Nice & Smooth, Delinquent Habits, Long Beach Dub All-Stars, Ozomatli, Fishbone, SX10, and Tijuana No. Cypress Hill's B-Real recently announced that the line-up was confirmed via the band's official website (http://www.cypressonline.com), but ticket on sale dates are to be announced.

Last year's Smoke Out in Los Angeles drew nearly 15,000 heavy-eyed revelers, and the crowd this year is expected to reach upwards of 20,000. MTV News reports that this year's event, which takes place on fairgrounds, will take on a few fair-like features like carnival rides and a haunted house. Plans also call for a psychedelic light show and several dance tents featuring top DJs.

The event will serve as a record release party for Cypress Hill's Spanish-language album ''Los Grades Exitos En Espanol,'' which is scheduled to be released Oct. 19. A January release is planned for another new Cypress Hill album titled ''Skull and Bones.''
