Bob Dylan goes it alone after trek with Willie Nelson
Bob Dylan , now in the midst of a lengthy spring/summer tour of Minor League ballparks with Willie Nelson , will follow that outing with a series of his own headlining dates.
So far, Dylan has booked July stops in nine cities, four of which are in Canada. Additional stops are planned in Montana, Washington and Oregon.
Dylan hasn't released a new studio album since 2001's Grammy-winning "Love and Theft." Despite the dearth of new material, he's been a near-constant on the road since the set's release.
Dylan's ballpark tour with Nelson got underway in May, and is scheduled to wrap up July 12 in St. Paul, MN. Also on board for the outing are The Greencards, an acoustic, bluegrass-style trio with roots in the U.K. and Australia.
Country icon Nelson and folk legend Dylan first toured together last year, when they also played Minor League stadiums. Though that outing marked their first joint roadtrip, the two singer/songwriters had appeared together at many shows in the past.
