Keith Urban logs more miles this summer
Keith Urban , who has spent much of this year working the road, will maintain his busy pace during a summer U.S. outing.
The Australian native is scheduled to play a mix of headlining shows, festivals and fairs through late September. Plans also include an appearance at the July 2 Live 8 concert in Philadelphia, and an early morning set in New York City for the Aug. 12 episode of ABC's "Good Morning America." The itinerary is included below.
Urban continues to support last September's "Be Here," which last month won the Academy of Country Music award for Album of the Year. The victory made Urban the first Australian to pick up that trophy, and the second foreign-born artist to do so; Canadian Shania Twain won it in 1996 for "The Woman In Me."
Urban also scored this year's ACM award for Top Male Vocalist.
In April, Urban took the top prize at the annual CMT Music Awards, when his video for the "Be Here" cut "Days Go By" was crowned the winner in the fan-voted Video of the Year category.
"Be Here" debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Country Albums chart, and No. 3 on The Billboard 200. Now in its 37th week on those charts, the album sits at Nos. 3 and 20, respectively.
Helping sustain sales of the platinum-certified set is Urban's latest single, "Making Memories of Us," which tops Billboard's latest Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart.
