Dinosaur Jr.'s reunion outing sprouts Western a leg

Reunited noise-rockers Dinosaur Jr. , who previously announced plans for a July tour of the East and Midwest, have now lined up a round of August shows in the western U.S. and Canada.
The Western leg, which will wind its way north from Las Vegas to Vancouver, is scheduled to visit clubs in eight cities. Ticket on-sale information for the new dates, provided by the band's publicist, is in the itinerary below. Pre-sale tickets will also be available; details are at the band's website.
Dinosaur Jr. announced in February that it was reuniting for a television performance and appearances at festivals in the U.K. and Japan. A North American tour announcement followed.
Dinosaur Jr.'s original lineup--frontman/guitarist J. Mascis, bassist Lou Barlow and drummer Murph--split in 1989, though Mascis continued to record under the Dinosaur Jr. name for several more years.
Merge Records reissued the first three Dinosaur Jr. albums--"Dinosaur," "You're Living All Over Me" and "Bug"--in March.
