Ryan Adams plots more North American dates
Singer/songwriter Ryan Adams , who wraps up a round of U.S. shows this weekend, is making plans for more North American roadwork later this summer.
So far, Adams has booked August stops in eight North American cities, most of which are on the West Coast. He has also signed on for July appearances at two Colorado Phil Lesh & Friends shows. Details are included in the itinerary below.
Adams' summer plans also include shows in Europe, Australia and Japan. More information is posted at his website.
In early May, Adams kicked off a U.S. outing that focuses primarily on the eastern half of the country; he'll cap that leg of touring Sunday (6/29) with a show in Birmingham, AL.
The early May tour-launch coincided with the release of "Cold Roses," the first of three albums that Adams plans to deliver this year. The two-disc set features Adams backed by guitarists J.P. Bowersock and Cindy Cashdollar, drummer Brad Pemberton and bassist Catherine Popper; the band is collectively billed as The Cardinals.
Adams' website currently offers on-demand streaming of each of the album's 18 tracks.
A follow-up album titled "September" is due out this summer, and a third album--dubbed "29," and produced by longtime collaborator Ethan Johns--is expected in the fall.
