CKY returns with new album, summer tour
Rockers CKY--a.k.a. Camp Kill Yourself--deliver their latest album this week, and plan to back the set with a late-summer run through North America.
Titled "An Answer Can Be Found," the new album lands in stores Tuesday (6/28). The Pennsylvania-based band will launch the album with a release-day, in-store appearance on its home turf in the Philadelphia area, and will then head to Southern California for two more in-stores set for Wednesday and Thursday (6/28-29). Details are posted at the group's website.
Meanwhile, an early August kick-off is planned for the band's upcoming tour, which is booked into clubs and theaters throughout the U.S. and Canada. The itinerary, which so far stretches into mid-September, is included below.
CKY features Deron Miller (vocals, guitar), Chad Ginsburg (guitar, vocals) and Jess Margera (drums), brother of skateboarder and MTV personality Bam Margera. The group shares its name with a series of skate videos that Bam produced, and got its start by supplying the soundtracks for those videos.
Bassist Vern Zaborowski left the group late last year; a replacement will be announced prior to the upcoming tour, according to a press release.
"An Answer Can Be Found" is the follow-up to CKY's 2002 major-label debut, "Infilitrate.Destroy.Rebuild."
