Nine Inch Nails' North American Tour Begins April 12

Trent Reznor's Nine Inch Nails have announced the first nine dates of a 10-week, 45-city North American tour, supporting NIN's latest album "The Fragile" (nothing/Interscope).

The first leg of dates take the group to amphitheaters in the Midwest/Great Lakes region. On-sale dates will be announced later this week, according to the group's label.

The touring lineup will include Reznor on vocals, guitar and keyboards; Robin Finck on the same; Danny Lohner on bass and guitar; Charlie Clouser on keyboards and theremin; and Jerome Dillon on drums. A Perfect Circle, fronted by Tool's Maynard James Keenan, will open the shows.

NIN recently toured in Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. At a two-hour London show last December, the band only performed nine songs from "The Fragile," but delivered enraged versions of material from previous albums "Pretty Hate Machine'' and "Downward Spiral." When Reznor did venture into songs from "The Fragile," big-screen projections of water images gave the music "a spellbinding effect," according to a LiveDaily review.
