Rockers Hoobastank [ tickets ], who are currently at work on a follow-up to 2003's "The Reason," will keep their chops up during a summer run on the U.S. fair circuit.

The group has mapped shows at fairs throughout the country, though most are set in the Midwest and West. Details are included below.

The outing is the band's latest round of live work behind "The Reason," which spawned a chart-topping title-track that helped push sales of the set past the 1 million mark.

Meanwhile, the group is in the pre-production stage for its next album, according to a message guitarist Dan Estrin recently posted at the band's website.

"We've been working really hard on new music for you all," Estrin wrote. "We were at our producer Howard Benson's house all day yesterday going over ideas and songs we've written for the next album. After we left his house, [singer] Doug [Robb] and I worked at my house until 2 in the morning. I can't wait to get in the studio and record the new stuff."

Estrin added that the group is filming much of the creation process, and hopes to release a DVD along with the new CD. No release date has been set.
