50 Cent books headlining shows
Co-headlining the soon-to-launch Anger Management tour with Eminem apparently isn't enough to keep 50 Cent busy, so the chart-topping rapper has lined up some of his own shows, as well.
So far, 50 is scheduled to squeeze in three July performances and a dozen August concerts, some of which fall during off-days from the Anger Management tour. The bulk of the dates are sandwiched between the mid-August conclusion of the Anger Management tour's North American leg and the Sept. 1 kick-off of the tour's just-announced European leg.
The Anger Management 3 tour--which also features Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz, G-Unit, D-12, Obie Trice and Stat Quo--launches Thursday (7/7) in the Indianapolis area, but 50 Cent will miss the tour's first two stops because of a scheduling conflict; he'll be tied up shooting his film debut. Ludacris will fill in on those dates, according to Interscope Records.
All of 50's upcoming North American tour dates are included below; details on the European shows are posted at his website.
50 Cent is hitting the road behind his sophomore release, "The Massacre." Released in March, the set sold 1.14 million copies during its first four days in stores, and debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 album chart.
"Just a Lil Bit," the latest single from "The Massacre," sits at No. 1 on Billboard's latest Hot Rap Tracks chart. Audio and video versions of the cut--as well as for additional "Massacre" tracks "Candy Shop" and "Disco Inferno"--are streaming at 50's website.
